This extremely difficult 15.357-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the Anciennes mines d'Arre area, known for its historic ruins and natural beauty. The trail starts at P4 Parking Anglas and immediately takes you past the Cardet parking area. As you hike, you'll encounter various points of interest such as water sources, historic ruins, a shelter at Cabane de la Coste de Goua, and even a waterfall named Cascade d'Uzious.
The trail is challenging, with an elevation gain of 1448 meters, so make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate gear. Along the way, you'll find benches and picnic sites to rest and enjoy the stunning views.
At the midway point, you'll reach Hourquette d'Arre, a saddle offering a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding peaks. As you continue towards the endpoint at the Pic d'Anglas, you'll pass by cave entrances and more ruins, adding to the historical allure of the hike.
