This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Chemin du Lac Bersau. The trail is 9.799 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 701 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 4 hours to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the historic boundary stone known as Borne 309, located 3.1 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along, at 2.28 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the scenic Ibón de Escalar, a beautiful water feature where you can take in the breathtaking views.
On your way back, around the 3.1 kilometer mark, you will reach the Col des Moines, a natural saddle point offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, at the 4.9 kilometer mark, you will find another water feature, providing a refreshing stop along the trail.
It is recommended to bring plenty of water, especially on this challenging hike, and to check the weather forecast before setting out. The trail offers a mix of historical landmarks, natural beauty, and opportunities to replenish your energy at cafes along the way.
