Welcome to the hiking route to Kreuzspitze, a challenging and extremely difficult 23.452-kilometer trek with an elevation gain of 1501 meters.
The trail starts at a picturesque alpine hut called Martin-Busch-Hütte, located 8.7 kilometers from the beginning of the route. As you continue on, you will pass by the fascinating archaeological site of Hohler Stein at 2.38 kilometers into the hike.
Along the trail, you'll find several benches for resting, the closest one being at 2.26 kilometers from the start. Make sure to visit the peak of Kreuzspitze at 11.73 kilometers into the journey for breathtaking panoramic views.
For sustenance, Gasthaus Rofenhof is conveniently located at the beginning of the route, perfect for a pre-hike meal. Remember to bring enough water as the trail can be demanding, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
On your way back, take a moment to explore the ancient archaeological sites of Alte Samoarhütte and Brizzihütte, located 8.88 and 10.1 kilometers from the starting point, respectively.
