This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Kortscher Schafberg - Monte delle Pecore in the area. The trail covers a distance of 13.668 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1450 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure that will last approximately 6 hours and 47 minutes.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across various points of interest along the way. About 4.55 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Schwarze Lacke, a serene water feature that offers a peaceful spot to rest and take in the surroundings. Further along at 4.21 kilometers, there is a shelter called Gasthaus Gerstgras, ideal for a quick break or snack.

As you trek onward, at 5.23 kilometers, you will encounter another water point at Hungerschartensee - Lago della Fame, providing a refreshing stop for hydration. Additionally, there is a restaurant named Bergl-Alm located 1.81 kilometers from the start, offering a chance to refuel with some nourishing food.

Don't miss the historical site of Heilbronner Hütte, which unfortunately is now in ruins, located at 4.19 kilometers from the start. This spot adds a touch of intrigue to your journey.

Keep an eye out for Taschenjöchl - Giogo Tasca at 4.19 kilometers, a saddle point that also features informational signage for educational purposes. Approximately 6.83 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the peak of Kortscher Schafberg - Monte delle Pecore, offering breathtaking panoramic views as a reward for your efforts.
