This hiking route in the Langtal Valley offers a challenging adventure through stunning alpine scenery. With a total distance of 14.533 kilometers and an elevation gain of 649 meters, this trail is classified as extremely difficult, suitable for experienced hikers looking for a workout.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking area with no fees, located just 50 meters from the trailhead. Along the way, you will encounter the Nepal Bridge, a via ferrata route, about 0.83 kilometers from the start. Keep an eye out for the Rotmoos Waterfall and another waterfall 2.09 kilometers into the hike, offering a refreshing and picturesque stop.
After around 3.21 kilometers, you will reach the Schönwieshütte restaurant, where you can take a break and enjoy a meal with beautiful mountain views. Further ahead, at 6.59 kilometers from the start, you will find the Langtalereckhütte alpine hut, a perfect spot to rest and refuel before continuing your journey.
Throughout the hike, you'll encounter several information points providing insights into the local flora, fauna, and history. Make sure to bring enough water, snacks, and proper gear as this trail can be demanding.
