This hiking route will take you through the breathtaking area of Pointes des Chavannes. The trail is 13.973 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1087 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. Just 0.02 kilometers from the start, you will find a bench to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further ahead at 4.71 kilometers, there is a water point, perfect for refilling your bottles.
At around 6.12 kilometers, you will reach Col du Baracon, a saddle where you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, at 6.21 kilometers, stands Mont Fortin, a peak offering stunning vistas of the area.
As you continue on, you will encounter several information points providing valuable insights about the region. These can be found at various distances from the trail, such as at 0.1 kilometers, 6.12 kilometers, and 6.28 kilometers.
For a cultural experience, at 6.2 kilometers, you will pass by Ex Ricovero Magg. Sonza, a historic castle with stories to tell. If you need to rest and refuel, Chalet Del Miage, a cafe, is conveniently located at the 6.99-kilometer mark.
