This hiking route to Gamsspitzl is located in a picturesque area with stunning mountain views. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 18.369 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1614 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Tschangelair-Alm restaurant only 0.13 kilometers from the trailhead, where you can grab a bite before heading further. Along the way, at 0.17 kilometers, you will find a natural water source. About 2.27 kilometers into the hike, you can take a break at the Bsuchalm restaurant.
As you continue, at 6.15 kilometers, you will reach the Nürnberger Hütte alpine hut, a great spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, at 8.56 kilometers, you will encounter the Sebel-See, another beautiful natural water feature.
Throughout the hike, you will find various benches and informational points for resting and learning about the area. Make sure to check them out, especially at the Katharinas und Roberts Bänkla, Seescharte, and Aussichtsplattform Langetaler Wasserfall.
As you approach the endpoint, at 9.18 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Gamsspitzl, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Take some time to soak in the breathtaking scenery before heading back the same way you came.
