Located in a picturesque alpine region, this challenging hiking route spans a distance of approximately 10.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 971 meters. The estimated duration for completing this trail is about 4 hours and 55 minutes, making it a difficult but rewarding trek for experienced hikers.
Starting off from the trailhead, hikers will first encounter the refreshing Wasserfall "in der Hölle" waterfall located right at the beginning of the hike. As you continue along the path, you will come across several points of interest. At around 2 kilometers into the hike, you will find the cozy Furtalm restaurant, perfect for a quick break before pushing onward.
Around the midway point of the trail, at approximately 3.76 kilometers in, the rustic Schafhütte alpine hut provides a great spot to rest and enjoy the stunning alpine views. Further along the trail, at a distance of 4.97 kilometers, hikers will reach the Vorderer Stubensee - Lago della Stua, a serene alpine lake ideal for a peaceful pause in nature.
As you approach the endpoint of the hike, at about 5.12 kilometers, the Magdeburger Hütte - Rif. Cremona alla Stua offers hikers a chance to refuel with some delicious alpine cuisine.
Throughout the hike, hikers are advised to bring an ample water supply, sturdy hiking boots, and to check the weather forecast before setting out. Additionally, it's recommended to start early in the day to allow plenty of time to complete the trail before nightfall.
