This challenging 8.072-kilometer hiking route will take you through the picturesque area around Schafhütte. The trail offers stunning views and a total elevation gain of 631 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
As you begin your journey, you will come across Wasserfall "in der Hölle," a beautiful waterfall that is a must-see attraction in the area. This waterfall is located right at the start of the trail, providing a perfect spot for a quick break and some photos.
Further along the route, at the 2.03-kilometer mark, you will pass by Furtalm, a charming restaurant where you can refuel and enjoy a delicious meal. This stop is perfect for a mid-hike rest before continuing on your adventure.
Around the halfway point of the hike, at 3.76 kilometers, you will reach Schafhütte, an alpine hut where you can take a longer break and even stay overnight if you wish. This cozy accommodation option provides a great opportunity to relax and recharge before tackling the second half of the trail.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across picnic sites and benches where you can take in the stunning surroundings and enjoy a peaceful moment in nature. These spots are perfect for taking a break, having a snack, and soaking in the beauty of the area.
