This extremely difficult 15.056-kilometer circular hiking route in the Hinterer Daunkopf area offers a challenging and rewarding adventure for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across the Parkplatz Dresdner Hütte/Wilde Gruabe parking area, situated at the beginning of the trail. As you continue on, you will reach the Fernaustadl bar and the Dresdner Hütte alpine hut, perfect for a pit stop to refuel and enjoy the scenic views.
Further along the trail, you will find the Fernau Klettersteig via ferrata for those seeking an additional thrill. Make sure to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed, especially as you ascend towards the Egesennieder peak and the Zollhütte wilderness hut.
