Hiking : Pic de Pouy Pradaus

This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Pic de Pouy Pradaus. The trail covers a distance of 6.41 kilometers with an elevation gain of 123 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike.

Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards Pic de Pouy Pradaus. Along the way, you will pass by some points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Lac de Crouès, a picturesque lake located just 0.84 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, approximately 1.67 kilometers in, you will come across Lac de Paloumères, another beautiful lake to admire.

Midway through the hike, you will reach Port de Balès, a scenic saddle located right on the trail. From here, you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area before continuing on your journey towards Pic de Pouy Pradaus. At a distance of 3.21 kilometers from the start, you will finally reach the peak, where you can take in panoramic views of the landscape below.

It is important to come prepared for this hike by bringing plenty of water, wearing appropriate footwear, and checking the weather forecast before setting out. As this is an out-and-back route, remember to pace yourself and enjoy the journey both to and from Pic de Pouy Pradaus. Happy hiking!
