This challenging 11.97-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning Monte Viglio area, offering breathtaking views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards Monte Viglio, a historic wayside cross and peak located approximately 5.06 kilometers from the trailhead. As you continue on, you will come across the Gendarme peak at around the 5.44-kilometer mark, providing a perfect spot to take in the surrounding natural beauty.
Further along the trail, you will encounter the Madonnina wayside shrine at about 5.04 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of history to your hike. Keep an eye out for the Fontanile drinking water station located at 0.21 kilometers into the hike to stay hydrated along the way.
Other points of interest include the Cave Entrance at 5.39 kilometers, the Cippo boundary stone at 4.91 kilometers, and the Fontanile Casale spring at 0.96 kilometers from the start.
