This hiking route takes you through a picturesque area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, leading you to the destination of Rifugio Fracassi.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a parking area near the trailhead. It's advisable to park your vehicle here before embarking on the hike. Along the way, at about 0.88 kilometers from the start, you'll find an information point where you can learn more about the surroundings.
Continuing on, at approximately 3.36 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter Fonte Pisciarello, a natural spring where you can rest and replenish your water supply. Further ahead, at 1.58 kilometers from the start, another spring named Fontanile Pretestrette awaits you.
As you push forward, around the 3.7-kilometer mark, you'll reach Rifugio Fracassi, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the breathtaking mountain views. Here, you can refuel and relax before heading back the way you came.
With a total distance of 7.393 kilometers and an elevation gain of 430 meters, this hike is considered difficult and is best suited for experienced hikers.
