This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the stunning Mont Tournairet area. The trail is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 16.88 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1370 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is approximately 7 hours and 20 minutes.
As you start your journey, you will come across some interesting points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a bench and a parking space for your convenience. As you progress further, you will encounter a boundary stone dating back to historic times, situated about 5.5 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, you will reach a saddle known as Col de Monigas, located at 4.75 kilometers from the start. This spot offers a perfect resting point with an information point nearby. Continuing on, you will explore the Pointe de la Combe du Tournairet peak, approximately 7.09 kilometers from the starting point.
Towards the end of the trail, at around 8.44 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Mont Tournairet peak itself. Here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, there are information points, a shelter, and drinking water facilities available for hikers at various points along the route.
