The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 8.454 kilometers and an elevation gain of 802 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding adventure.

As you start your journey, you will come across Ladurner Skihütte - Malga Laturnes, a cozy alpine hut located approximately 2.94 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy some local refreshments before continuing your hike. Further along the trail, at a distance of 4.13 kilometers, you will find Edelweißhütte, a charming mountain restaurant offering a variety of delicious dishes for hungry hikers.

Midway through your hike, around 4.23 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Ladurnersee, a tranquil lake where you can pause to take in the serene surroundings and maybe even dip your toes in the cool water. Additionally, at 3.84 kilometers from the start, you will find Wasserspeicher Beschneiungsanlage, a water reservoir providing essential resources along the trail.

For history enthusiasts, look out for the wayside cross at 4.19 kilometers from the start, and the tomb of Reinhold Spirkl at 3.61 kilometers from the start, adding a cultural element to your nature trek.
