Welcome to the hiking route to the Innere Ochsenalm! This challenging route spans a distance of 10.874 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1037 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take approximately 5 hours to complete.

The trail starts at a parking area, located at the beginning of the route. As you embark on the journey, you will come across a picnic site and a spring named Witwen-Brünnele approximately 1.81 kilometers into the hike. These are perfect spots to take a break, enjoy a meal, and refill your water bottles.

Continuing on, at a distance of 2.19 kilometers from the start, you will encounter an information point providing insights into the surroundings. As you reach the 3.83-kilometer mark, you will find multiple informative sites along the trail such as "Vor Jahrmillionen geboren" and "Dolomieu-Weg", offering historical and geological knowledge.

At the 3.94-kilometer mark, a bench provides a rest stop with a view, allowing hikers to catch their breath and admire the scenery. Further along the trail, at 4.09 kilometers, the Ferchwasser information point offers more insights into the area.

Midway through the hike, at 5.44 kilometers, you will reach a water source followed by another one at the same distance. These spots are perfect for refilling your water bottle and staying hydrated throughout the challenging climb.

As you push on, at 5.03 kilometers, the Ochsenscharte saddle provides a unique viewpoint along the trail, giving hikers a chance to appreciate the surrounding landscape. The route also passes by the Ochsenalm restaurant at 3.83 kilometers, offering a place to grab a meal before or after the hike.

It is recommended to bring an ample supply of water, sturdy hiking boots, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this journey. Be prepared for a strenuous but rewarding hike through the stunning natural beauty of the Ochsenalm region.
