This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area of Rue du Porche. The trail is 5.597 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 272 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It is an out-and-back route, so you will be retracing your steps on the way back.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 0.39 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the historic Château de la Marguerite, a castle that adds a touch of charm to the surroundings. Further along the trail, at 1.67 kilometers, you will encounter Col de Portes, a natural saddle that offers beautiful views of the area.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 2.37 kilometers, there is a viewpoint where you can take in the stunning scenery. As you continue on, you will find a fountain at 0.03 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing spot to rest and hydrate. Additionally, there are several benches along the trail, perfect for taking a break and enjoying the surroundings.
At 2.75 kilometers into the hike, slightly off the trail, you will find the Menhir dit la Pierre Droite de l'Ouïsse, an archaeological site that adds a touch of history to the route. Finally, right at the beginning of the trail, there is a BBQ spot where you can enjoy a meal before or after your hike.
