This hiking route takes you through the stunning National Park of Samaria, known for its breathtaking views and natural beauty. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 3.945 kilometers and an elevation gain of 286 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.

As you start your hike, you'll come across the entrance to the famous Samaria Gorge, located just 0.03 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Be sure to take in the impressive views as you make your way through the park. Along the way, you'll also pass by Xyloskalo Restaurant, a great spot to refuel and take a break, situated 0.14 kilometers from the start.

Further along the trail, at 0.04 kilometers from the start, you'll find the National Park of Samaria Information Center, where you can learn more about the park's history and wildlife. Nearby, there is also a bench for hikers to rest and enjoy the surroundings.

About midway through the hike, at 1.97 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the stunning viewpoint of Xepitiras, offering panoramic views of the park and its rock formations. This is a perfect spot to take some photos and soak in the beauty of the area.

As you make your way back towards the starting point, don't forget to stop at the various viewpoints along the trail, including one located 0.04 kilometers from the start.
