Welcome to the hiking route in the beautiful area of Le Canyon. This route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of approximately 5.16 kilometers and an elevation gain of 740 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 3 hours to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area, followed by Le Cartusia restaurant where you can grab a meal or refreshments before starting your hike. Further along the trail, about 2.58 kilometers from the start, you will reach a viewpoint offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 1.2 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Cabane de Bachasson, an information point where you can learn more about the area. Continuing on, you will come across Forêt Sectionnale, a historic wayside cross, and Chamechaude peak, which is 2.49 kilometers from the start.
Towards the end of the trail, you will pass by Monolithe de la Folatière, a natural rock formation located around 1.81 kilometers from the start. Finally, you will reach Col de Porte, a saddle point with a cave entrance nearby, offering a unique experience for hikers.
