Welcome to the Sentiero delle Casoline hiking route!

This 5.382-kilometer out-and-back trail offers a challenging hike with an elevation gain of 515 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers.

Starting at the trailhead, you'll find a convenient parking area for your vehicle. Just a short distance from the start, you can refuel at Trattoria La Gabiola, a cozy restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before hitting the trail.

As you make your way along the route, you'll come across various points of interest. Around the midway point, you'll find an information point where you can learn more about the area. Further ahead, at 2.07 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Passo della Porta, a picturesque spot worth taking a break to admire the views.

For history enthusiasts, there are two historic wayside shrines along the trail, one at 2.55 kilometers and the other at 2.69 kilometers from the start. Additionally, nature lovers will appreciate the cave entrances of Covolo in Sassolungo and Pozzo 2 Sassolungo, located at 1.9 and 1.78 kilometers from the start, respectively.
