This challenging hiking route takes you to the stunning area around Carnedd Llewelyn. The trail covers a distance of 10.892 kilometers with an elevation gain of 723 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey that will take approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes to complete.
As you begin your hike, you will pass by the ULMC Caseg Fraith Hut, a cozy alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. This hut is conveniently located at the start of the trail, so it can be a great place to refuel before continuing on your journey.
Further along the route, about halfway through, you will come across the Amphitheatre Buttress, a popular climbing spot for adventure seekers. The proximity of this feature to the trail offers a unique opportunity to witness climbers in action as you make your way towards Carnedd Llewelyn.
At the end of the trail, you will reach the peak of Carnedd Llewelyn, the second highest mountain in Wales. From this vantage point, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, making the challenging hike well worth the effort.
