This hiking route takes you through a picturesque area with stunning views and moderate difficulty. The route is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 5.706 kilometers and an elevation gain of 205 meters, taking approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to complete.

Starting at the designated parking area, you will embark on your journey towards the peak of Ptičji vrh, located 0.59 kilometers from the start. Enjoy the panoramic views from this viewpoint before continuing on to reach the alpine hut Željezničar at 1.11 kilometers from the start. You can take a short break here and refuel before heading towards the saddle at Preseka, located 2.35 kilometers from the start.

As you make your way further along the trail, you will reach the peak of Oštrc at 1.25 kilometers from the start. While the peak itself is not directly on the trail, it offers a fantastic vantage point for a memorable photo opportunity. Additionally, you will pass by the alpine hut Planinarski dom Ivica Sudnik, located just 0.07 kilometers from the trail.

One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Rancerje at 2.85 kilometers from the start. Take in the breathtaking views from the summit before heading back the way you came.
