This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Planinarski dom Žitnica. The trail is 3.144 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 233 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for beginners and families.
Starting at the designated parking area 1.44 kilometers from the beginning of the trail, you will follow the path towards Japetić. After approximately 1.57 kilometers, you will reach the takeoff site for free flying known as Japetić, offering stunning panoramic views of the surroundings.
Continuing on, you'll pass by Velika Vrata, a saddle point 0.01 kilometers from the trail start, and several information points along the way providing insights into the area's natural and historic features.
Midway through the hike, at around 1.25 kilometers from the start, you will come across a wayside shrine and informative markers including "Put piramide 2". These points offer a glimpse into the local culture and history of the region.
As you near the end of the trail, approximately 1.52 kilometers from the start, you will reach more informative markers such as "Put piramide 1". These spots provide additional knowledge about the area's landmarks and attractions.
Finally, after 1.57 kilometers, you will arrive at Planinarski dom Žitnica, where you can rest and enjoy the facilities before heading back the way you came.
