This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Katrin Aussichtsplattform in Schiffaustraße. The trail covers a distance of approximately 9.048 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1050 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding trek.

As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Parkplatz Katrinbahn, a parking area for hikers. Further along, at about 0.28 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter the historic Burgruine Wildenstein, a castle ruin worth exploring.

About midway through the hike, around 3.58 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Katrinalm, a restaurant where you can refuel and take in the views. As you continue on, you'll pass by the Rudolfsbrunnen fountain, offering a refreshing break.

Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 4.52 kilometers from the start, you'll find Gipfelgrat and Quergang, two via ferrata routes for the more adventurous hikers. Finally, at the endpoint of the hike, you'll reach the Katrin Aussichtsplattform, a viewpoint with stunning panoramic views.

It's important to note that this is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back. Make sure to bring plenty of water, as the trail is challenging with its length and elevation gain.
