This hiking route will take you to the stunning Hainzen area, offering beautiful natural landscapes and historical sites along the way. The total distance of the hike is approximately 10.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1152 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding adventure.

Starting at the Katrinbahn parking area, you will begin your journey towards the Burgruine Wildenstein, an ancient castle ruins located 0.28 kilometers from the start. As you continue on the trail, you will pass by the Katrinalm restaurant, offering a perfect place to rest and refuel at around 3.58 kilometers into the hike.

Further along the trail, you will encounter the Rudolfsbrunnen fountain and various viewpoints and benches for taking in the scenic views. The Elferkogel peak at 4.37 kilometers and Hainzen peak at 5.39 kilometers offer breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding area.

The trail also features information points and artworks for a deeper understanding of the region's history and natural heritage. Make sure to check out the Altweiber-Bankerl bench and the Kaiser-Ansitz viewpoint for memorable experiences.

Towards the end of the hike, you will have the opportunity to visit the Berggasthof Katrin restaurant before heading back to the starting point. With a duration of approximately 5 hours and 22 minutes, this hike is recommended for experienced hikers due to its difficult terrain and length.
