This challenging circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Pico de Cuesta Rosa area. The trail spans approximately 9.4 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 611 meters, and it is expected to take around 3 hours and 40 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Abrevadero, a water feature located about 2.9 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a great spot to refill your water bottle and take in some beautiful scenery early on in the hike.
Further along the trail, approximately 4.6 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak known as Pico de Cuesta Rosa. This is a great vantage point to admire the surrounding landscape and take some memorable photos.
Along the way, you will also pass by Albergue La Parada, an alpine hut that offers accommodation for hikers. This can be a good resting point if you plan to break up your hike into multiple days.
Other points of interest along the trail include a saddle at 4.48 kilometers from the start, as well as various peaks that offer panoramic views of the area.
To refuel during your hike, you will find Bar Restaurante Riosol approximately 0.38 kilometers from the start. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat and recharge before continuing on your journey.
For those in need of hydration, there are drinking water stations located at various points along the trail, with the closest one being at 0.43 kilometers from the start.
