Welcome to the hiking route to Los Llamargos, a challenging and rewarding trail that covers a distance of 21.02 kilometers with an elevation gain of 835 meters. This route is classified as extremely difficult due to its length and elevation, so be prepared for a strenuous trek.
Starting at the picturesque Monasterio de San Martín de Alión, you will be immersed in the historic ruins right at the beginning of your journey. As you traverse the path, you will come across the ancient ermita de la Virgen de Roblo, offering a glimpse into the region's rich history.
Midway through the hike, you will discover the fascinating Cueva de la Virgen, a cave entrance that adds a sense of adventure to your expedition. Along the way, make sure to stay hydrated as drinking water stations are available at various points, including a drinking water facility 3.44 kilometers from the start.
As you approach the end of the trail, you will encounter a saddle and a peak, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding natural landscape. Take a moment to rest at one of the benches conveniently located along the route, providing a place to relax and soak in the beauty of Los Llamargos.
