This hiking route takes you through a scenic area with beautiful natural features and opportunities to see various points of interest along the way. Starting at the parking area, you will head towards the Refuge du Lac d'Aubert - Néouvielle, which is a shelter located just 0.06 kilometers from the trailhead.
As you continue on the trail, you will pass by the Gourg de Rabas at the 2.0 kilometers mark, a picturesque water feature that is perfect for a quick rest or a photo opportunity. Further along the route, at around 2.65 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Col de Madamète, a prominent saddle in the landscape.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 3.41 kilometers from the starting point, you will encounter another water feature, followed by the Laquet de Madamète at 3.45 kilometers. This tranquil lake is a great spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery before heading back.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across informational points and shelters, providing additional insight into the area and offering refuge if needed. It is advised to bring an ample supply of water, as well as snacks and proper hiking gear.
