This extremely difficult 17.41-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning area of Cabane de Port Bielh - Sentier du Pic de Portarras. The trail starts at a parking area with no fees and leads you through various points of interest.
At the beginning of the hike, you will pass by Lac de Gourguet, a beautiful natural water feature located approximately 6.48 kilometers from the start. Along the way, you will also encounter Refuge du Lac d'Aubert - Néouvielle, a shelter facility situated only 0.08 kilometers from the trail.
Midway through the hike, you will come across Laquet de Coste Oueillère, another picturesque water spot located around 7.25 kilometers from the start. As you continue on the trail, you will also find Cabane de Coste Queillère, a shelter facility located 7.35 kilometers from the start.
Towards the end of the hike, you will reach Cabane de Port Bielh, another shelter facility situated approximately 8.07 kilometers from the start. Along the way, you will encounter additional points of interest such as Col d'Aumar, a natural saddle point located 2.37 kilometers from the start, and various water features and information points.
Due to the length of the hike and the significant elevation gain of 1012 meters, this trail is considered extremely difficult. Make sure to bring an ample water supply, snacks, appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
