This extremely difficult 14.104-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning area of Lacs de Bastan. The trail begins at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure.

Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. About 5.24 kilometers from the start, you will find Refuge de Bastan, an alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. As you continue on, you will reach Col de Portet, a saddle located right on the trail, offering breathtaking views of the landscape.

For sustenance, Les Merlans restaurant is conveniently situated approximately 1.46 kilometers from the start, providing a perfect spot to refuel before carrying on. Additionally, there are water sources available along the trail, with the closest one being about 4.48 kilometers from the start.
