This extremely difficult 13.376 km out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Soum des Salettes in a beautiful natural area. The hike has an elevation gain of 1085 meters and will take approximately 5 hours and 48 minutes to complete.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area before reaching the first notable point of interest, the Cabane de Moune shelter, located 1 km from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, about 3.49 km from the beginning, you will come across the Étang des Vaches lake, a picturesque spot for a rest and some scenic views.

As you continue on, you will reach the Port de Campbieil saddle at around 5.74 km from the start, offering panoramic views of the area. Finally, after a challenging hike, you will reach the highlight of the route, the Soum des Salettes peak at the 6.69 km mark. Take in the breathtaking views from the summit before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
