This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through a scenic area with a total distance of 17.721 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1626 meters. The duration of this hike is estimated to be around 8 hours and 10 minutes.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first encounter the Kälberlahnzugjoch saddle, located at 7.08 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This natural formation provides a stunning viewpoint along the way. Further along the route, at 1.24 kilometers from the start, you will come across a beautiful waterfall known as Alpe Kaisers.
As you continue your journey, around 2.75 kilometers from the start, you will find Alpe Kaisers, a cozy restaurant offering sustenance for hikers. Midway through the hike, at 6.43 kilometers from the beginning, there is a water source for you to refill your bottles.
Towards the end of the hike, approximately 8.86 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Frederick-Simms-Hütte, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
Throughout the trail, there are several information points and benches available for hikers to rest and learn more about the area. Remember to bring an adequate water supply, as this is a long and strenuous hike. It is also advisable to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
