This moderate 6.134-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of Cueva del Monje. The trail starts at a convenient parking area and the first point of interest you will encounter is Restaurante Las Brasas, where you can grab a bite to eat or refill your water bottle from the fountain nearby at Fuente de Marcos.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across a refreshing spring at 0.65 kilometers from the start, followed by another spring at 0.68 kilometers. These are great spots to take a break and enjoy the natural surroundings. Further along the route, you will reach Cueva del Monje, a cave with historical significance and a must-see attraction at around 3.04 kilometers into the hike. Nearby, you can explore more of the cave system at Cueva del Monje.
For those interested in geological formations, there is a rock formation to admire at Cueva del Monje. Be sure to bring plenty of water, as the trail includes a total elevation gain of 180 meters, making it a moderate challenge. The hike is expected to take approximately 1 hour and 52 minutes to complete, but the stunning views and points of interest along the way make it a rewarding experience.
