This extremely difficult 12.175-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning La Montagnette area. The trail begins at a parking area located at 0.0 kilometers from the start. Make sure to check the forecast before heading out and bring plenty of water as this challenging hike will take approximately 5 hours and 13 minutes to complete.

Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At 1.89 kilometers from the start, you will come across a beautiful water feature, followed by the Cabane d'Arizes wilderness hut at 3.58 kilometers. This hut is a great spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, at 4.97 kilometers, you will find another picturesque water feature known as Lac d'Arizes.

As you continue your journey, you will reach the Croix gravée wayside cross at 1.43 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of historic charm to your hike. At the midway point, you will encounter the Col d'Arizes saddle at 5.64 kilometers, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape.

The highlight of the route is reaching La Montagnette peak at 6.09 kilometers from the start. The panoramic views from this vantage point make the challenging trek well worth it. Before heading back, take the time to soak in the beauty of the area.
