This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you to the majestic Birnhorn peak, with a total distance of 12.59 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1637 meters. The hike is estimated to take around 7 hours, so make sure to start early to allow enough time to complete the trail.
The trail starts at Parkplatz Ullachtal, where you can leave your car before embarking on this challenging adventure. As you begin your ascent, you will come across Leoganger Klettersteig, a popular climbing area, and various information points along the way.
About 6.3 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Birnhorn, the highest point of the trail. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views from this peak before continuing on.
