Welcome to the hiking route to Cascade Supérieure de Montviard! This circular trail spans a distance of 3.4 kilometers and has an elevation gain of 186 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for hikers of all levels. The estimated duration for this hike is around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Starting from the parking area at the beginning of the trail, you will pass by Bluffy (Chef-Lieu), a picturesque village, just 90 meters from the start. As you continue on the trail, at 0.12 kilometers from the start, you will come across a beautiful fountain and two benches where you can take a rest and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 1.28 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the stunning Cascade Supérieure de Montviard waterfall, a perfect spot to take in the beauty of nature. Further along the trail, you will also pass by Les sapins de Biolon, located 1.26 kilometers from the start, and Ruisseau de Cotonaz, which is 0.87 kilometers from the start.
As you make your way back towards the parking area, be sure to stop by Cascade Inférieure de Montviard and La Cascade waterfalls, located at 1.19 kilometers and 1.08 kilometers from the start, respectively. Before concluding your hike, you will also find a bench at 0.2 kilometers from the start where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.
