This extremely difficult hiking route takes you on an adventurous journey through the beautiful area of Camino de servicio del Azud de La Parra - Cañada de la Caleriza. With a total distance of 12.867 kilometers and an elevation gain of 411.0 meters, this hike is not for the faint-hearted.
As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area after 1.54 kilometers, where you can safely leave your vehicle before embarking on the trail. Approximately 6.43 kilometers into the hike, you will find a natural water source to replenish your supplies and take a refreshing break.
Around the 6.12 kilometer mark, off the trail slightly, you will encounter the Refugio de Navarejo shelter, providing a cozy spot to rest and recharge before continuing your trek. Additionally, there are parking areas located at 0.17 kilometers and at the beginning of the trail, making it convenient for hikers to access the route.
Throughout the hike, you will have the opportunity to admire the Cerro de la Oliva peak, located 1.28 kilometers away from the trail. The Yacimiento arqueológico de la Dehesa de la Oliva archaeological site is also worth a visit, situated 1.16 kilometers off the trail.
As you approach the end of the trail, at approximately 1.04 kilometers away, you will come across another peak, followed by a saddle at 1.24 kilometers away, and another peak at 1.51 kilometers away.
Because of the challenging terrain and length of the hike, it is crucial to be well-prepared. Make sure to bring an adequate supply of water, wear sturdy hiking boots, and check the weather forecast before setting out. This hike is recommended for experienced hikers looking for a strenuous adventure in a picturesque setting.
