This hiking route will take you through the stunning countryside to the Rifugio Alpe il Laghetto. The trail is 8.821 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 898.0 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 17 minutes to complete.
At the beginning of the trail, you will pass by the Pilone votivo, a historic memorial just 0.02 kilometers from the starting point. As you continue on, you will come across the Madonna del Sangue di Re wayside shrine, located right on the trail. Further along, at 1.9 kilometers into the hike, you will find the refreshing spring known as La civiltà rurale montana.
Near the midway point of the trail, approximately 3.32 kilometers in, you can explore the historic ruins at a distance from the trail. As you make your way back, at 3.54 kilometers in, you will find a fountain to rest and refill your water bottles.
Throughout the hike, you will also encounter various points of interest such as the Croce del Vallaro wayside cross and informational signposts providing insight into the local area.
