This extremely difficult 14.847-kilometer out-and-back hike will take you approximately 5 hours and 11 minutes to complete, so make sure you are well-prepared before embarking on this adventure.

Starting at the Gsengkogel trailhead, you will be surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of the area. As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Kohlwegriegel peak located approximately 5.19 kilometers from the start. This peak offers stunning panoramic views, so be sure to take a moment to soak in the scenery.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the Gsengkogel peak itself, which is located 7.42 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to rest, refuel, and enjoy the incredible vistas that stretch out before you.

Throughout the hike, you will encounter varying terrain and elevations, so make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Additionally, be sure to check the weather forecast before setting out, as conditions can change rapidly in the mountains.
