Welcome to the Gföllsteig hiking route!

The Gföllsteig trail is located in a picturesque area with stunning views of the surrounding nature. This 8.019 km route is marked as difficult, with an elevation gain of 807.0 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers.

At the beginning of the trail, you'll find convenient parking areas for your vehicle. As you start your journey, you can grab a cup of coffee at Cafe Dankl located just 0.01 km from the starting point. Along the way, you'll pass by several pubs and restaurants such as Gasthof zum Botenwirt and Gasthof Forellenstube, where you can enjoy a delicious meal.

Midway through the hike, you'll find the Schmiedhäusl attraction and the refreshing Löwenquelle spring just 0.19 km from the start. It's a perfect spot to take a break and appreciate the natural beauty of the area.

Towards the end of the trail, at around 4.01 km from the start, you'll encounter a viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the surroundings. Additionally, there is a memorial for the First World War that you can explore.

Remember to bring plenty of water, as this hike can be challenging due to its length and elevation gain. Don't forget to check the weather forecast before heading out.
