Located in the beautiful Steinplatte region, this hiking route offers a moderate challenge with a distance of approximately 5.8 kilometers and an elevation gain of 450 meters. The trail will take you on an out-and-back journey to the stunning destination of Steinplattengipfel.
As you start your hike, you'll come across the quaint Parkplatz Steinplatte where you can park your vehicle. Just a short distance from the beginning, you'll find a wayside shrine that adds a touch of history to the trail. Further along the path, at about 0.5 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a refreshing water feature known as Viehtränke.
Midway through the hike, around 2.85 kilometers from the start, you'll have the option to challenge yourself with the Schuasta Gangl Klettersteig and Knieschläderer via ferratas. These thrilling climbing routes offer a unique experience for adventure enthusiasts.
Near the endpoint of the trail, at around 2.9 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Wintergarten climbing area, providing an opportunity for some additional climbing adventures. Finally, as you approach the Steinplattengipfel summit, you can take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking views before heading back on the same path.
