Welcome to the hiking route to Cap de la Serre de Font Cendrasse. This extremely difficult circular route covers a distance of 32.226 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1720 meters, taking an estimated duration of 11 hours and 45 minutes to complete.
The trail starts at a parking area located at the trailhead. As you begin your journey, you will pass by a parking area at around 4.61 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail at 5.67 kilometers, there is another parking area. These serve as convenient spots for hikers to leave their vehicles before embarking on the hike.
As you continue on the trail, you will reach the Cabane pastorale du Col de Sasc, a wilderness hut located approximately 10.8 kilometers from the start. This is a great place to take a break and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty.
Around 10.23 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the peak of Pla de Montcamp, offering stunning panoramic views of the area. Another noteworthy point along the trail is the Col de Gamel, a saddle located at 7.36 kilometers from the start.
At approximately 14.76 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a spring known as Monument aux morts, providing a refreshing spot to rest and rehydrate. Additionally, the trail passes by several peaks such as Pic du Col Taillat and Cap de la Serre de Font Cendrasse, offering hikers breathtaking vantage points along the way.
As you approach the end of the hike, you will find the Restaurant Café Rousse located at 4.5 kilometers from the start, where you can refuel and relax after completing the challenging trek.
