Welcome to the 9th Avenue hiking trail in the Garden Route District Municipality. This moderate difficulty out-and-back route spans a distance of 5.459 kilometers with an elevation gain of 103 meters, perfect for a leisurely day hike.
As you begin your journey, you'll pass by a tranquil water feature just 0.01 kilometers from the starting point. This is a great spot to take in the surroundings and maybe even spot some local wildlife.
Further along the trail, at the 2.73 kilometer mark, you'll come across another water source where you can rest and replenish your supplies. It's a good idea to refill your water bottle here to stay hydrated throughout the hike.
Around the midway point, you'll find the WWI & WWII Memorial, a poignant reminder of the area's history. Take a moment to pay your respects before continuing on your way.
As you make your way back to the starting point, you'll have the option to stop at The Marshmellow Garden Café, located just a short distance off the trail. This is a perfect place to grab a snack or hot beverage before completing your hike.
