Welcome to the Ottokar-Kernstock-Haus hiking route, a moderate 6.456 kilometers circular trail with an elevation gain of 386 meters. The route will take approximately 2 hours and 27 minutes to complete.

Starting at the Pischkalm parking area, you will embark on a picturesque journey through the stunning alpine terrain. As you begin your hike, you will encounter the Schreiber Kreuz wayside cross at 2.35 kilometers from the start, offering a moment of reflection and a glimpse into the area's historical significance.

Continuing on, you will come across the Rennfeld viewpoint at 2.8 kilometers from the start, providing panoramic views of the surrounding natural beauty. Further along the trail, at 2.94 kilometers from the start, you will find the Ottokar-Kernstock-Haus alpine hut, a perfect spot to rest and refuel before continuing your adventure.

Midway through the hike, at 1.46 kilometers from the start, you will encounter an information point to learn more about the area's flora, fauna, and history. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a break at the bench located at 2.18 kilometers from the start, offering a peaceful respite surrounded by nature.

As you near the end of the trail, you will pass by the wayside cross at 2.94 kilometers from the start, before reaching the endpoint back at the Pischkalm parking area.
