This hiking route will take you to the Hochangerschutzhaus in the beautiful alpine area. The trail is 6.677 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 460 meters, making it of moderate difficulty. It is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.

Starting at the Griesbrücke parking area, you will find informational points along the trail to provide you with interesting insights about the area. These points are spaced out along the route, offering information about the surrounding natural features and landmarks.

One of the highlights of the hike is the Hochanger peak, located about 3.23 kilometers from the start of the trail. While it is slightly off the main trail, the peak offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and is definitely worth a visit if you have the time.

Midway through the hike, at a distance of 3.34 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Hochangerschutzhaus alpine hut. This is a great place to take a break, grab a snack, and enjoy the picturesque mountain scenery.
