The trail starts at a parking area and the first point of interest you will encounter is the restaurant La Fabriquilla, located just 0.06 kilometers from the start. As you continue on the trail, at around 0.19 kilometers from the beginning, you will find an information point where you can learn more about the area.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 2.51 kilometers from the start, you will pass by Fuente Perrancano, a drinking water source perfect for refilling your water bottles. Further along the trail, at 2.97 kilometers, you will come across the historic ruins of Castillejo de Güéjar Sierra and the natural peak of Cerro del Castillo and Pico de la Lastra. These ruins and peaks offer a great opportunity to explore and admire the natural beauty of the area.

At the 3.32 kilometers mark, you will reach Pico de la Lastra, the destination of this out-and-back route. From this viewpoint, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a rewarding endpoint for your hike.
