This extremely difficult 15.124-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Ergischhorn peak.

The trail starts in a picturesque area with convenient parking available at the beginning. As you make your way along the route, you will come across a lovely picnic site named Sportplatz, located around 0.99 kilometers from the start. This spot provides a great opportunity to take a break and enjoy some snacks while soaking in the beautiful surroundings.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 3.21 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water source where you can refill your bottles and stay hydrated. Further along the trail, at 7.56 kilometers from the start, you will reach the highlight of the hike - the Ergischhorn peak. The panoramic views from this vantage point are truly breathtaking and make the challenging journey worth it.

On your way back, around 0.09 kilometers from the start, you will pass by an information point named Ergisch where you can learn more about the area. Additionally, there is a restaurant called Obermatt located nearby where you can grab a delicious meal after completing the hike.

With an elevation gain of 1450 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 7 hours and 7 minutes.
