Welcome to the hiking route to Cascada de Aguasal in Valle de Mena. This circular route spans a distance of 13.333 kilometers with an elevation gain of 446 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 12 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey along the trail, surrounded by the natural beauty of the area. As you make your way through the route, approximately 6.55 kilometers from the start, you will come across a stunning waterfall, adding a picturesque touch to your hike. Known as Cascada de Aguasal, this natural wonder is a perfect spot to take a break and admire the beauty of the cascading water.
Continuing on, at around 2.43 kilometers from the start, you will find the peak of Hayas Altas, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Although not directly on the trail, this peak is worth a slight detour for the stunning vistas it provides.
Throughout the hike, be sure to stay hydrated and carry an ample water supply, as well as pack snacks and essentials for a challenging trek. It's also recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on this journey, as conditions can change rapidly in mountainous terrain.
