Welcome to the Cottbuser Höhenweg hiking route! This challenging route spans 10.901 kilometers and features an elevation gain of 1374 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.

Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by the Mainzer See at the beginning of the hike, a peaceful water body just 4.99 kilometers from the start. As you continue on, you'll reach the Mittelberglessee around the 3.53 kilometer mark, offering another picturesque spot to rest and enjoy the views.

Further along the trail, you'll come across a parking area with no fee, perfect for leaving your vehicle and starting your adventure. Additionally, an information point located just 0.02 kilometers from the start provides valuable insights about the area.

On your way back, you'll have the opportunity to admire the peak known as Saß, located 4.28 kilometers from the start, though not directly on the trail.
