This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Las Pintas-Pico de Huelde area. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 8.2 kilometers and an elevation gain of 919 meters. It is recommended for experienced hikers due to its difficulty level.
Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will pass by the Monasterio de San Martín de Alión, a historic ruins site. About 0.83 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Teleclub "La Escuela", a bar where you can take a break and grab a snack.
As you continue on the trail, at around 2.76 kilometers, you will come across the Caseta de la Traviesa, a wilderness hut where you can rest and enjoy the surroundings. There are also several springs and drinking water points along the trail, such as Fuente del pueblo and Pilón de Venticueva, providing you with a refreshing break during your journey.
Further ahead, at a distance of 4.1 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Las Pintas-Pico de Huelde, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Additionally, there are caves and peaks to explore, such as Cueva de la Vieja El Monte and Cueto Collao, adding an adventurous element to your hike.
